- I am 12 years old.

- I ilve in Alphen.
4. Did you ever lie in a Hospital?
- Yes, i did. When i was 11.
5. Why did you lie there?
- Because i had a lot of pain. In my belly.
6. How long did you lie there?
- I lie there 2 weeks because i had a lot of pain.
7. When you lie there, came there a CliniClown to you?
- Yes, when i lie there a week, there came 2 CliniClowns to my room.
First, i was shocked because they had a big red nose and they look very strange.
But after a few minits, i thought it was fun.
They make me laugh!
I still had pain but i wasn't thinking about it.
8. Do you think that you are faster better when a CliniClown visit a sick Child?
- No, ofcourse not.
CliniClowns let you laugh but they can't make you better.
I had a laugh a lot, but a week later i was still sick.
9. How long did you lie in the Hospital after the visit of the CliniClowns?
- 11 days.
10. Have you still problems with your stomach?
- No, i have good medicine.

The meaning of CliniClowns.
CliniClowns try to make children ilve better.
The children who lie in hospitals need a bit fun to think about.
They cant play like other children can.
Than you can use somebody who come sit next to you and make you laugh.
The CliniClowns try to give al the cilcren attention, so when there are more children at one room everyone gets a bit attention.
When there is family the can join with the children of the cliniclowns.
CliniClowns work most of the time with in twos.
They play with the cildren individually and after that the CliniClowns give a show in front of all the kids.
Before CliniClowns start to play they have to talk with in twos. For the first time CliniClowns went to a children's ward in Wormerduin on wheels.
They do the best things to make children laugh and it is succesfully bedause all the children were excited.

The beginning of the CliniClowns
In the beginning of cliniclowns, cliniclowns only went to very sick children.
They only went to section Oncologie, (Children with Cancer).
Last years they went to all kind of hospitals.
They not only come to children with cancer but every child.
About 40 years ago there was a man in Amerika who learned for a doctor.
His name was Patch Adams.
He always make jokes with the sick children in the Hospitals.
He was the only man who did that in Hospitals.
Children were faster better when they had more fun.
In 1985 there was a clown.
His name was Micheal Christensen.
He came from a circus.
He often went to the Hospital in New York because his brother lie there.
He made many jokes, espacially with the kids.
The visiting of Micheal Christensen was a big succes.
The children lost their fear and grief. This success made him decide to set up a clownsprogram for children in hospitals (Clowns Care Unit).
Now there are more Clown Care Unit hospitals in the Foundation CliniClowns was established.
